Description
1st item: Meissen figurine depicting two cherubs under a tree, one sharpening his arrows at a grinding wheel; a plate containing arrows, scissors and a heart is laying at the elbow of the other cherub. Blue underglaze crossed swords mark, inscribed E26 145. 8"H x 4"W. 2nd item: Meissen style bowl, possibly Dresden, with crimped rim and applied blue flowers and leaves, supported by three figural cherubs. Blue underglaze mark with three crossed spears, inscribed number 139 and painted number 51. 6"H x 10" diameter. Both German, 19th century.
Condition
1st item: Significant losses to tree leaves (some broken pieces retained), breaks and old repairs to toes, stick in one cherub's hand is broken along with several fingers, repairs/breaks to other cherub's legs, the grinding wheel and arrows in quivers. 2nd item: Head of one cherub likely replaced; scattered minor chips to leaves/petals.
