This impressive view of Pokrovsky Monastery was painted by Alexey Puchkov one of the best modern Fedoskino painters who specializes in the genre of architecture. White, grey, and light blue tones of oils help the artist to reproduce the atmosphere of a dull winter day, while the monastery itself is iridescent and glows with accents of gold paint. The painting is framed by a gold border and an elaborate floral frieze wraps around the sides of the box. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 1995 and is titled.
