R. & J. Beck Ltd. (London) brass compound monocular investigator microscope. Serial number 20753. With tripod stick brass base and divided pillar with adjustable inclination. Coarse focus is by push tube and fine focus by a knob on the support pillar. Plain square stage with attached dual spring glass-slide specimen clamps. Single tube and eyepiece, two attached interchangeable objective lenses. Circa mid to late 19th C. Approximate height retracted 11 inches.
