Description
American Federal card or gaming table, possibly John or Thomas Seymour School of Massachusetts, mahogany serpentine top with line inlaid edges, over a conforming frieze with satinwood or tiger maple inlaid reserves flanking a central rectangular inlaid panel; inlaid side panels; turned legs with molded and incised ring designs at spaced intervals; fly leg swings out to support the hinged top. 28 1/2" H x 36" W x 17"D (34" deep fully extended). Condition
Structurally sound and overall very good condition with some scratching and a 2" finish abrasion to interior top, 3" circular light stain or abrasion to closed top and a couple of deep short stained scratches; some tiny minor veneer losses to skirt, mainly on its right side, 1" stained shallow gouge and possible re-gluing to rear side of its left rear leg (all legs appear original).
