LiveAuctioneers announces 1,000th catalog upload
Aug. 4, 2004
LiveAuctioneers’ CEO Julian R. Ellison announced today that online catalog number 1,000 has been uploaded to the LiveAuctioneers website. The auction house listing the sale is Cowan Auctions Inc., of Cincinnati.
“We were very pleased that this milestone was achieved by Cowan’s, an auction house that has been with us practically from the beginning,” Ellison said.
The catalog contains prestigious inventory from Cowan’s Sept. 17-18 auction of American Indian Art and features the contents of First People’s Museum of the American Indian and Eskimo, a collection whose origins date to the 1920s. Also included in the sale – which is a highly anticipated annual event – is a significant collection of katsinas from the 49 Steps Gallery in Los Angeles, and material from the collection of Ben Thompson, former editor of Who’s Who in Indian Relics.
Our thanks to Cowan Auctions Inc., and the 167 other top auction houses in North America and the United Kingdom who choose LiveAuctioneers, in association with eBayLiveAuctions, for their real-time Internet auction needs.
