LiveAuctioneers reaches settlement in court case, signs 300th auction house client: Kruse International
August 25, 2005
NEW YORK – LiveAuctioneers LLC has announced a settlement has been reached in the lawsuit it lost earlier this year against plaintiffs Ableauctions.com Inc. and iCollector.com Technologies Ltd. “We are very happy to be able to put this all behind us and move forward,” said LiveAuctioneers’ CEO, Julian Ellison.
At the same time the news of the settlement was released, LiveAuctioneers also confirmed that it has just signed its 300th auction house client: classic car auctioneers Kruse International of Auburn, Ind. “It has been especially gratifying to us that the auction companies who use our services have been so loyal to us throughout the legal ordeal," said Ellison, "and that so many prestigious new clients have signed on, here and in Canada, Britain and Continental Europe. Signing Kruse, which is a giant of the auction world, was such a privilege for us. It validated that, within the auction community, quality and service are what really matter. Our clients knew the court case did not in any way affect our ability to provide them with outstanding service, 24 hours a day.”
