Free service tips members when items of interest are listed
You’ll never again have to miss out on an antique, artwork or collectible item just because you were too busy to search through auction catalogs. We at LiveAuctioneers have just unveiled a free new feature that continuously searches our database of upcoming catalogs, then notifies you by email whenever an item of interest has been listed. You can create as many keyword searches within the framework of LiveAuctioneers’ alerts feature as you wish – it’s unlimited, it’s easy and it’s FREE. Let’s say you’re looking for Moorcroft pottery. Just type in the word Moorcroft on the Search box of LiveAuctioneers’ homepage. Our powerful search engine will immediately direct you to a page that lists all of the current Moorcroft listings from upcoming auctions facilitated by LiveAuctioneers. Click on the button that says Alerts, and you’ll be taken to the page where alerts are created.
You’re the boss – you can add, change or delete alerts anytime you wish. Once a day you will receive an email alerting you to items newly added to the LiveAuctioneers database that match the keywords you’ve chosen. But if a once-a-day alert doesn’t meet your needs and you’d rather have real-time updates, you can use any online news reader or search consolidator such as Google, My Yahoo or News Gator to receive instant notifications of items of interest as they are entered into LiveAuctioneers’ database. All you have to do to create a real-time notification is run a search on LiveAuctioneers for any keyword – in this case Moorcroft – and click on the orange box to the upper right that says XML. It will take you to a selection of top web-based news readers.
When you receive an alert, you will then have the option of printing out any of the newly added auction lots – or, if you want to share the news with someone else, use the function we’ve included that allows you to email the listing for the treasure you’ve just found.
