Windsor Auctions - The Creators Of The “Fine Jewels Auction at Sea” program sets online debut through LiveAuctioneers on July 9

On Saturday, July 9, Windsor Auctions will present its first live and Internet auction event on LiveAuctioneers.com. The Windsor Collection includes precious gems such alexandrite and a highly prized collection of imperial topaz. In addition, Windsor will be offering uniquely designed pieces set with a total of more than 1,000 diamonds.

Windsor Auctions created the “Fine Jewels Auction at Sea” program as seen onboard the world’s most exclusive cruise liners. The “Fine Jewels Auction at Sea” program afforded passengers the opportunity to obtain over $5 million in fine gems and jewelry during the “Inaugural Fine Jewels Auction at Sea” and on through March and April 2005.

“This is a great time for our company,” said Paul Fischer, CFO of Windsor Auctions. “We have proven that cruise passengers would rather expend their retail jewelry dollar onboard the vessel in an auction setting, as opposed to spending their dollars in port of call jewelry retail operations, which do not truly offer the passengers great deals. Windsor Auctions will present collections on LiveAuctioneers.com that would normally be offered for auction only onboard cruise ship vessels. “There’s no reason not to offer the same great bargains to land-based consumers,” Fischer said. Windsor Auctions plans to offer in excess of $50 million in appraised goods during the last half of 2005 and through 2006.
