LiveAuctioneers.com wraps October with record-setting numbers

NEW YORK – LiveAuctioneers concluded the month of October with record-setting results. During October, LiveAuctioneers – in association with eBay Live Auctions – provided real-time Internet bidding capability to 217 auctions. Online sales for the month totaled $6.2 million. “This is more than double the figure for October 2004,” said LiveAuctioneers’ CEO, Julian R. Ellison. “Several auction houses had their best Internet sales results ever.”

Also during October, the number of items listed concurrently on LiveAuctioneers hit a record 54,000. And as the company turned the corner into November, there were 113 auction catalogs uploaded to its website, another new record.

Presently, there are 336 auction house clients in seven countries actively using LiveAuctioneers. “Our target is 350 auction houses by Thanksgiving,” said Ellison. “We believe we will make that goal. In October, alone, we signed up 26 new clients.”
