(1.50 x 2.50") piece of tile on a metal stand attached to a wooden base with a plaque that reads "Fit Check Tile From The Space Shuttle Challenger. This Tile was used to check the fit of the tiles before the final thermal tiles were made and fitted to the Orbiter's surface. Metal stand is cracked otherwise in good condition
