Full Size NASA Mercury Capsule Replica This replica has seen extensive use in films, commercials and exhibits, most recent of which include "Rockets Red Glare" and "Race To Space". Built by a multi-award winning Hollywood special effects company, the exterior was molded from a real capsule provided by NASA Ames; the capsule is matte black gel coat fiberglass with vinyl markings. The interior is complete and lights up and looks terrific on film and on exhibit but is not blueprint accurate inside. (This is for Hollywood after all!).
