Item won was exactly as stated. There was lots of description, which is not always the case with other auction houses. The in house shipping was fast and the least expense we have ever been charged. We will certainly repeat our business with Mr. Slawinski should the items we look for be offered.

Perhaps the worst communication performance of any auction house I have dealt with.
Be very careful about trying to communicate with this company; at present they are in chaos.

Not easy to communicate with them
I had problems to ship my items because initially the auction house was offering in-house shipping within the 48 contiguous states. On the day of the auction this option was removed and instead it showed shipping through a third party and my bid was already placed. Two of the four Companies they suggested offered me outrageous prices, three times the price of the in-house shipping. The third Company never sent me a proper quote. Luckily the ladies of the 4th Company were nice to work with and their price was more reasonable. I tried to contact the auction house two times to see if they could help or provide more shipping companies details, they never answered my emails. My item is currently under inspection before being shipped to South Korea and the Freight Forward Company is reporting damages to one of the sides of my item. The auction house did not provide pictures of the sides of the item and I was not aware of these damages. To be honest I'm disappointed. I ended up with much higher shipping costs than foreseen and a damaged item I was not aware of.

Picture did not show major damage to the piece. No answer to my call to preview first.
Experience with John Slawinski a few years back was wonderful, but now replaced. However, the current folks did not respond to my call to set up a preview. As it turned out the piece had MAJOR NOTICEABLE damage but they hid that side of the piece in their pictures.

Professionalism
The staff was extremely helpful answering questions and sending additional images. Their in-house shipping is excellent and cost-effective, a rare quality in an auction house today, as most do not want to be bothered with shipping. Highly ethical and professional.
