Great little auction house. They could use more photos of each object and more detailed descriptions. But it's a small auction, and I don't think they have the personnel to add anything to the mix. Their hometown feel is part of the charm of this venue... a place where you can still find a treasure without breaking the bank.

This auction house is very good. I love that they ship-that's a huge plus. I don't mind the online payment system-it's better than having to make a phone call. So overall, I really like this house. I wish MORE houses were as efficient. The houses that ask you to call to make a payment-are the worst and make me not want to bid. This one is very good.

What should be up after my response to this rating? What are your the auction house (Robert Slawinski) responsibilities on my case (# 379639)? The auction did not went right in my case with Robert Slawinski Auctioneer (Lot 8362, two Southeast Asian six panel paintings) on Nov 12, 2017. I had put my maximum highest bid of USD 1, 300 for the item, well before the beginning of the live-auction. I was informed by Liveauctioneers that I won the item at the price of USD 1, 030. Then I have received a notice from the auction house that there was a mistake in the auction process, the item was instead won by a floor bidder at the price of USD 1, 100. For me, the mistake is too ridiculous to be acceptable for a professional bidding process since I have put my maximum bid of the greater amount than that well before the beginning of the live auction. There is no satisfactory responses I have received from both your organization the auction house.

On the auction listing, they did not state the any condition breaks, chips, etc just said you have to request a condition report. I did, and never received one. I have asked other auction houses questions prior to the auction, and again never received an answer. So they are not the first.

I meant to write a few weeks when we received our merchandise but never did so we were pleased to see the survey. This auction House is without a doubt the best auction we have dealt with. We received an invoice & were able to pay our bill the same day the auction ended. We spoke to a very friendly & courteous girl who told us when our package would be mailed & we received very quickly. Thanks again, Walter

Not enough pictures showing strengths and weakness of item. Descriptions generally sucks. Look how eBay does it. Why reinvent the wheel then make it your own.

A real disappointment. "B" side of weaving that I purchased was very faded, the weaving had been repaired improperly in several places, and is in poor condition, at best. Nothing about condition of the item that I purchased, was disclosed in their listing. There was NO attempt to point out that this weaving had serious issues, which seems truly convenient for this seller (auction company). To add insult to injury, shipping cost could have been a $15.00 priority mail, but $42.00 was the mark to fold up a weaving that was 5 X 2.5 feet, and put it in a box was a total rip off. No concern for the buyer after the sale, can only be viewed as, take the money, and wash their hands of it, and conveys the unspoken queue, that's what they get for buying without being here. There were zero communications from the shipper, and it took three calls to get the process completed, and the clerk I spoke with, guessed what my shipping charges were, even after it was shipped. "When I attempted to clarify if my total cost of shipping was $42, 00? I got," yea, I guess, I didn't add it up . What a bunch of **********.! I have completed other transactions with several auction houses on liveauctioneers with excellent results, but this wasn't one of them. This auctioneer had an opportunity to build his business, and add a new client, not only for his firm, but liveauctioneers as well. Unfortunately my experience with Slawinski Auctioneer, Inc. was terrible. In my opinion an absolute abuse of a customers 'vulnerability. I will not do business with their concern again. Simply, I earn my bucks, and I sure as hell have a choice where I choose to spend it. It won't be with them again thats for certain!' Nough Said!

Although I have been registered with this auction house for some years as a tax-exempt dealer, in the wake of my most recent purchase they sent me, in error, a statement including tax due. When I pointed out the error they could not have been nicer about it. This small problem was immediately resolved.
