Staff was ready and able
Called auction house the day prior to planned pick up and to arrange payment. Merchandise was pulled and staged near exit door. Staff helped me and ran items to my vehicle. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Merchandise was as advertised and condition reports were accurate. Actually liked most of the items better in person than through photographs. Overall and excellent experience and will absolutely do business with Roland Auctions again.

Bad Day?
I felt the auction was going along just fine until the end. One lot was unilaterally withdrawn after I'd already won, was invoiced, and had paid for it. The reason given was "we didn't mean to sell it because the picture didn't match. The description was fine and was equal or better to many of the lots offered. I had always thought that payment was that the components of a deal are an offer, acceptance, and valuable consideration, at which time the title passes. At min, they should have explained their issue and asked if it was okay with me before reneging. Maybe a mistake, but not well handled. ALSO, I used their preferred shipper for the 2 coin books that I won. They charged me $90 to ship the 2 coin books (gulp), and then didn't use any packing material other than a couple of pieces of crumpled paper. A large envelope, which was part of the lot, came open and spilled all over the box. Fortunately, I noticed or I would have lost the coin markers that came with the set (books). I really thought about this before writing a review, but in retrospect, even if just a bad day or anomaly, it should have been handled better, and they really need a better shipper... btw.. shipper never responded to my sloppy packing issue.

Flexible and nice
I did not want to ship my items and they were nice enough to give me time to pick them up personally......... very helpful with directions, and loading my items when I arrived was so easy. They were so nice to deal with.

Dom & Kelly/UPS shipped EXTREMELY BAD
I had thought that Roland was a good auction house, but a shipper that THEY RECOMMENDED shipped an etching so badly, it's not to be believed. They shipped it in a unfolded box, inside a second unfolded box-with folds lined up. It was not thicker than the unfolded box-approx. 1/4 in? and it was torn and had hard creases throughout the etching. I emailed to let them know what happened/how Dom & Kelly shipped, and sent photos, and she responded that was "not ok". She promised to "get back to me", but has not done so. VERY disappointed.
