It seems like the staff at Roland's responding to email were not accustomed to dealing with out of the ordinary situations and having different responses. Anyone can sell something but the backbone is dealing with the public and staff should well understand procedures. Roland offers great auctions.

The online auction program often malfunctions: does not accept bids and there is a delay that results in bid on an immediatel prior item going through on the next item.

Thought pick up & shipping costs were very high and when I asked if I could use my own UPS account numbers, UPS store said they'd add $20-30 to the pickup fee. Didn't appreciate that but UPS store did a good job on the pkg at end if day. No negatives on Roland however who were great all around.

I believe 25 % is very high for a commission rate. At least for my items. It's not like two badges take up a lot of space for storage or anything. I have spent around 8-9K this year on my badge collection. This was the most confusing place to pay. When you get an invoice there is no way to pay. I have never experience this in all the places I have bought from. On the auction site there is no way to get to a place to do this. Finally, I was able to pay when I copied and pasted the e-mail address to my PayPal account. Then there was a $33 shipping fee. Every place I've bought from would have charged $6 at the most for what I bought.

THE UPS Shipper charged $48.00 to ship a very light weight package which would normally cost $16.00 including insurance. One of the lots I purchased consisted of five pieces of paper, all of which had staple holes, none of which were described.

Different arrangements should be available for small packages of coins. No other coin auction house handles their shipping like Rolands

The process was very disorganized. I had to contact Rolands Auction house myself to inquire about payment and delivery processes. Once I paid for the item I got the impression that I was on my own. There was very little customer support. I told myself I would not do this again if I survived the experience.

Description of the condition of the painting omitted some important details, e. g., water stains and some over-painting and the fact that it was lined. However, they use a great service provider to package and ship, namely, the UPS Store.
