Their staff does not know what is going on
We drove to pick up our purchased lot and the staff could not get their records straight and would not release the item. Now we have to make a second trip

Spent 30 seconds buying the lot, 5 minutes paying for it, and several hours arranging for pack and ship. Once received, there was a defect in the lot

Beautiful items but only if you can pick up
I received prompt response to questions prior to the auction. After winning the auction, and trying to arrange pick up-no response to any communications and dismissive treatment on the phone. Trying to utilize one of their recommended shippers resulted in 2 + weeks of aggravation, repeated promises for picking up the item and it just never happened. Eventually had to pay 2x as much to have a white glove service arrange for pick up. Knowing what I know now, I would not have bid on this item.

Great auction experience!
Abell was great auction house to deal with. Shipping was slow due to COVID but when it arrived-well packed and shipped promptly when it was finally picked up. Art work matched description and pictures. Welcomed addition to our collection. Look forward to participating in future art auctions.

Auction House Great-Shipping Exhorbitant
No problems with product or items. In fact very pleased. I would not buy from Abell again because both shippers recommended charged $220 and then $180 for a package that would cost me (and I'm not a UPS store) $35 to ship. One I contacted wanted over a 100 for just the packaging. Never would have purchased if I had known what the shipping costs would be as value was negated by shipping.

Great item... VERY failed communications
Went to pick up item and took cash. Wasn’t given accurate amount even after I emailed to specifically ask what the total would be for paying cash in person, and then treated very badly by very rude office employee. Management came out and acknowledged her and the mistake and took care of getting things handled. Item is GREAT.

This is a genuine auction house unlike so many other shady operators on the LiveAuctioneers platform. Unparalleled experience, vast and unique offerings at multiple price points and a staff with the strongest work ethic of any of the dozens of auctions I've patronized. Their growing online customer base has created a lot more competition for long term bidders like me but that's what naturally occurs when you earn the trust of multiple generations of knowledgeable bidders. By far my favorite!

Abell consistently has good auction items. They do a great job of describing their lots and answering questions, if needed. After sale and payment, they are very cooperative with pick up and delivery. Love working with them.
