San Rafael Auction Delivered
The items that I purchased were accurately described. I was fortunate that the purchase price was lower than my maximum. When I did not receive an invoice immediately (as is most often the case with Live Auctioneers), I contact the auction house and they explained that the invoices were to be issued on the first weekday after the auction. The payment process was easy. Because I was local to the auction house, I phoned to schedule my pick-up. When I arrived, my purchases were ready with no waiting. I was very pleased with the entire process.

Perfect performance in spite of wildfires
My recent experience with San Rafael Auction Gallery was dominated by the wildfires threatening Marin County. Both the auction house and the shipper did everything to help insure a first-rate transaction in spite of the challenges of working near the wildfires. I applaud them for meeting such challenges with professional performance.

Be careful about buying furniture
I bought an antique cabinet and had a very difficult time lining up a shipper; the shipping cost was nearly 3 times the cost of the item. The shipper broke a glass panel which will be costly to replace as the cabinet will need to be dismantled. While the cabinet is lovely, the hassle was not worth the price.

The exact name of the manufacturer
The name of the manufacturer of these clock is not Kienzie but it's Kienzle. I would also welcome a more detailed description about working condition.

The UPS store dragged their feet picking up the item. I called them to ask the shipping status and they asked me for the credit card info which I'd already given them. They looked around and found it. They picked up the item the next day (I'd paid for 3 day shipping), and I think they overcharged me on the insurance. In business since the mid 1980s, I routinely arrange pick-ups from major auction houses, and now and then there is a glitch, but this was irritating. The package was well-wrapped, but I'm not sure I'd use them again.
