Stunning authentic Baume watch
WOA was an excellent auction house to work with. I had some issues with the Postal Service delivering my payment to them, but that was totally out of their control. The watch was more stunning than described and captured in the pictures. I would purchase from them again. The only change I’d like to see made, is the ability to pay online or via PayPal.

Item misrepresented by seller
The item I purchased was represented as "sterling" silver. In fact, it was silver plate. I paid $170 for something that is worth about $35. I believe that this seller is dishonest. If I wanted to be charitable, I would merely say that they don't understand the distinction, and are not competent to sell antiques.

Good evening, the item you are referring to "Sterling Gorham Sauce Boat With Tray" is in fact sterling and is signed as such. Exactly as described
Very responsive vendor. Answered questions quickly and clearly. Items PERFECTLY and securely wrapped and shipped, very quickly. Definitely will follow this vendor. One suggestion: Would prefer paying by credit card or Paypal, not check. Otherwise, very good experience from great vendor.

These people are a scam!!!
Do not give Live Auctioneers or World of Antiques your money! They will take your money and rip you off! I never received my merchandise and no one will communicate with me. I wired $4000 and never heard from World of Antiques again! Live Auctioneers will not help me or let me know what’s going on! This site is a scam!!!! Do not bid on anything!!!

World of Antiques is a Scam
Do not write checks to this or any other house. They ran off w/$171 of my money w/o shipping the goods. I'm horrified that LiveAuctions would let them be online. I received no help or communication from the House after they cashed my check, no goods, and LiveAuctions did nothing to help. I'm DONE with ever bidding online, using this site.

the delivery from time of payment was very slow. Moreover the item received was totally smashed and fragmented when it arrived. Poorly and unprofessionally packaged. Totally unresponsive when I advised them of the damaged goods.

I have sent them the wire payment on the items won and such shipping cost. They still haven’t reply me on the situation. I have tried to call them from China and only possible leaving voice mail with no one answering the calls through the day. Very upset.

World of Antiques are liars and thieves. I spent $3900 plus $2100 for shipping on two buffets and a table and chairs. I spoke to them directly to ascertain the condition of the pieces. They told me they were in fine condition. When the pieces arrived they had long-term water damage to them. They were also severely damaged. Cracked legs, doors falling off, buckling veneer, missing pieces, etc. You could tell the damage was pre-existing before shipment. My shipper informed me that they are running this "auction house" out of the back room of a shop that sells stereos and rims for cars. He told me that he'd never seen anything like it. He asked the owner how they could sell such damaged goods and she replied that the buyer was aware of the condition. I wasn't aware of the condition, because they lied to me about it. When I called them to confront them about it and demanded my money back, they refused. Whenever you call them, they answer the phone like they are hiding from people and demand your name before they tell you who they are. They are nothing but sleazy conmen who lie and cheat your customers. I will be very hesitant to use LiveAuctioneers again, because of my experience with them. You need to ban this auctioneer from your site permanently, because they give you a bad reputation. The only thing I could use the "furniture" I received for is firewood.

I've sent in money order payment around April 5th to this auction house, but have never received item yet. Also, left three voice messages and contact through e-mail but have no heard back from anyone. No one from auction house has ever tried to contact me, except for e-mail invoice. Not sure if item will be sent to me sometime soon.

We don't understand why cannot have appropriate invoice as per our request! All other auction companies heads the invoice as per our correct name and tax number but..... not in this case.......
