Great customer service.
They were very good about questioning an address that did in fact have an error. Shipped quickly, packaged well, great communication.

liars, overcharge for shipping and unresponsive to requests
This company lied when it said I had two accounts. I did not. Why would anyone have two accounts anyway? To bid against themselves? Makes no sense, as does this company. My original complaint was that for two auctions, I was shown to have won an item, and later told by them, that I did not. Not a coincidence. Also they claimed to have a "certificate of authenticity" on an item, and it was merely a letter from another auction house discussing it's provenance. They did offer to re-sell the item, but gave no estimate, or "good deal" Why anyone would want them to re-sell an item from a place that appears un-reputable would be asking for a double dose of trouble. Avoid these people unless you want nothing but a headache, even if they claim to be selling the Mona Lisa. They have a long way to go in the realm of customer fairness and satisfaction.

UNPLEASANT STAFF
I had just called the company to ask where the title for the car was. I first spoke to Tucker that just talked thru me and was rude and hung up. I then Spoke to Jo who would not answer if she had a copy so I could get the Vin number since they "mailed" it to me and not sent by some type of courier. She was also very rude and hung up on me. NOT PLEASANT PEOPLE. The car was more than $8000, you would think that they should have been courteous and polite

The customer emailed me the address where to send the title and I went out that day and mailed it. Then he called and asked about the title which I told him it was mailed out. He kept talking over me. Many times when a customer does not like the sanswer they talk over the other person and ask the same question trying to get a different answer.

Awful, Awful-Worst Customer Service from experience an auction house!
I have waited a month for shipment, and have yet to receive it. I paid promptly. I have contacted North American Auction House by email and phone without response. The shipping costs are exorbitant. Their payment system is clunky and obscure. I wonder if I'll ever get my stuff. What choice do I have but to offer negative feedback?

The only reason the customer had to wait for his shipping is because he did not pay for his shipping right away. It sat in our auction house waiting for him to respond to multiple payment requests.

Nice auction house
North American Auction was a pleasure to deal with. Item was accurately described, communication and payment was simple, and shipping was both fast and reasonable. I would happily bid at their auctions in the future.

Shipping is Highway Robbery
Charged $101 for shipping on an $80 unframed painting. Box was 4 pounds, 29x23x5 and shipped by UPS Ground. UPS stated standard rate was $21.31. Inside, painting was wrapped on edges with about $4 worth of bubble wrap. Painting was as described but be prepared to pay out the nose for the "handling" part of shipping and handling ($76 in my case).

Patrick, here is the breakdown of your shipping cost: $21.31 for the carrier cost, $15 for the box, $10 for packaging materials and $60 for handling/labor. Artwork is very difficult and expensive to ship. FYI the carrier published rate was $21.31, but we only charged you our cost which is a discounted rate of $16. The boxes, bubble wrap and styrofoam all cost money. Your package took over 30 minutes to put together by our crew which does not include the time to contact you for payment or the 3 % credit card fee incurred on the charge.

Communication Lacking...
I've bought here a few times and "never" received tracking. The items just show up. Sent several requests for tracking, but no response. The items did arrive in good shape, so that is a plus. Not sure if I'd bid on the more costly items, considering the lack of communication.

Great company, very responsive
Having bid and won, I found that shipping was going to be very expensive, far more than the item. I contacted North American and they were great about letting me submit the item for a future auction. This is an admittedly strange result but I would highly recommend this auction house.

Great customer service
North American Auction Company are very nice to work with, they have great customer service, and quick shipment. All email communication is returned, the payment portal is easy and quick to use, and items won are handled quickly and packaged quickly. Thank you for a great experience.

Buyer Beware!
They will not inform you about shipping costs until after you pay for item. I had to pay 130 % of the cost of my item to have it shipped. (Was small and light weight). Also MANY items are misrepresented in their descriptions. I will never do business with them again and have informed all others on my collection page groups to avoid them as well.

She only paid $60 for her item. Many customers who get a great deal on an item feel the shipping should match the shipping. This was packed to protect the fine item. Customer also took a long to pay the shipping.

these people are terrible and not service oriented.
two times in a row, my auction site said I had won an item, only to find out that someone else did, according to them. Not a coincidence. Then it took forever to have the items shipped and at an exorbitant cost. Attempting to contact them produced slow and poor results. Then they stated that part of the item had a certificate of authenticity. It did not. It was a letter from another auctioneer about the items partial provenance. This represents more than a mistake. These people are terrible, the worst I have dealt with in 50 years of collecting. Their shipping is also costly and slow and poor. Another example of the more they tout themselves as great, the poorer they are. Self aggrandizing overcomes attention to detail.

Richard , signed up with two different buyer numbers in the same auction which created confusion. The item, a set of beaded moccasins had a Certificate from Jason Tyler Gallery, a reputable company from Toledo, Ohio. It was also found to be correct with rich provenance from the Cody Old West Show in Wyoming in 2003. I offered to re-sell the moccasins (at a majorly discounted rate in an effort to make the buyer happy) as the buyer only paid less than half the low estimate, an unbelievable deal for such an incredible set. I am not sure to the statement "tout themselves as great" we are a family owned business who try our best to be honest and forthcoming with our auctions.

Shipping issue, turned over paid item to a third party who is now unavailable.
Fortunately this was not an expensive item, as I was informed that a local shipper had picked it up, but was never able to contact that company. Phone disconnected and no answer to emails. Basically auction company just left this hanging after one round of communication, no follow up on their part. I am out $61.50, live and learn. Never purchase from them again, lack of in-house shipping is a deal-breaker from this time forward.

Shipping cost double what I typically pay at other auction houses.
The auction selection was good and the percentages were fair. The shipping is outrageous at double what I typically pay for similar items at other auction houses. North american is part of a small group of houses that seems to take advantage of their customers by charging outrageous prices for ship [ ping. This ruined any savings or advantage of bidding in an auction setting. They have lost me as a customer.

SHIPPING COST
ASK FOR SHIPPING COST BEFORE YOU BID. It's ridiculous. Over $26.00 from Montana to Oregon with ring tossed into an envelope and folded in half without a box to protect it from being crushed. UPS envelope folded in half with invoice taped to the outside and then shipped. Sorry.... never again.
