Weekly Auctions of Exceptional Items
Jeschke Van Vliet Auctions Berlin GmbH
The auction house was founded in 1990 in West Berlin, having its headquarters in the Schöneberg Winterfeldstraße for many years. Initially, the offered range included primarily valuable books and decorative prints, but since 1994 the firm has held regular art and graphic art auctions. In 2004, larger premises in central Berlin were opened. This not only allowed an adequate presentation of the artworks but also made possible selected solo exhibitions. With Hans van Vliet joining the management in 2004, a branch office in Paris was opened, catering mainly to French and Italian clients. This expansion broadened the company's scope and gave it an international presence. The current departments of the auction house include: 1. The Department of Rare Books, Manuscripts Prints and Photography for works from different eras, including medieval manuscripts, incunabula, old prints, and the literature of the 19th to the 21st century. 2. The Department of Modern and Contemporary Art and Antiques specializes in paintings, works on paper, modern photographs, sculptures and objects of the 18th to the 21st century. The auction house Jeschke Van Vliet Auctions Berlin strives to satisfy and exceed the various requirements of both buyers and sellers by means of thorough catalogue descriptions and careful handling. In addition to individual consignments, the company is pleased to handle entire collections and artists' estates.
