Miscommunication Issue Resolved
Had a big miscommunication with an items description, only found out after it was delivered. I notified the auction house and it was brought to the attention of the management. They took the issue seriously. After the facts were presented and reviewed, a resolution was presented in less than a day. I was impressed on how they live up to the integrity of their company's reputation! I hope other auction houses will follow John Moran Auctioneers, Inc. 's professional and respect for the industry. One of the very FEW honest auction houses that I highly recommend.

Moran Auctioneers have so much going for itself
Moran Auctioneers have so much going for itself that it seems to be forgetting that a satisfied customer is important to maintain their business. At the premium they want from buyers one would think that some kind of concern for the successful completion of a transaction accounts for something... alas I have not experienced it.

They do not pay attention to communications.
I won an auction item and called the next day arranging for pickup. I stated that I would pay for it when I picked it up to avoid the extra fees. I never received an email with an invoice from the auction house and in the mean time my credit card was charged. When I went to pickup the item I was told they do not always have control over payments through Auctioneers. I even met the person who I talked to on the phone, and he acknowledged that he talked to me about payment. I have dealt with other auction houses in my area and it has never been a problem with arranging to pay in person. Granted it's a small fee, but I would be cautious if you are buying a high ticket item. You might end up with higher bill than you anticipated.

Indeed, any Live Auctioneers buyer who has not contacted us within 24 hours of the sale to make alternate payment arrangements will only receive an email through Live Auctioneers and will be automatically charged through LivePay. While it is still a manual process, we have made improvements to our workflow to ensure those who have requested alternate payment options are not charged through LivePay and receive an invoice with payment options directly through John Moran Auctioneers.

The auction house shines-recommended shippers not so much.
I have bought from them and sold through them; they are professional through and through. My only concern this time was how long it took one of their recommended shippers to ship my purchase-a month! Love the painting and it is the perfect gift for a dear friend.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
I've purchased several items from John Moran Auctioneers. Living full time in the midwest and having a home in California, they have been very helpful and flexible on item pick up. My most recent purchase, they provided boxes, wrapping, and muscle to assist. While on site, I noticed an item that wasn't sold and asked about it. They were quick to provide an answer to my query with a phone call. IF IN DOUBT about purchasing an item through their auction process, call and discuss options available. For me, it made the difference of buying or not buying. And the nicest people you might ever have the pleasure of an interaction through an auction purchase!

Paid for Item, Arranged Shipping, No Response.
I won this item almost a month ago, paid for it in full, contacted shippers listed by John Moran, choose one, signed and submitted the release required to the shipper and JM. John Moran has not acknowledged any of my messages or even that I have paid for this item and have gotten no further information from the shipper. I have sent messages to JM and asked Live Auctioneers for help last week. LA response was a stock, "we're so sorry you're having a problem and rest assured we will try to help". I don't understand why buying things at auctions and getting them shipped in 2023 is so torturous!

We completely agree that shipping in this day and age should be easier which is why we have partnered with Live Auctioneers and a reputable shipping company to offer shipping quotes and opportunities to pay for shipping at the time of checkout. Of course, you can still choose an alternate shipper of your choice and we will be happy to work with them. We hope this makes things easier for future purchases.
