The two auctions I participated in The Taxco Silver and Western Art.
Offered an opportunity to own pieces from well know collections. Many were published in well known books and the Taxco Collection was exhibited in Santa Fe several years ago.

Don’t expect them to voluntarily tell you about damage
I bought a pair of bookends for a couple hundred dollars that only had two pictures: The front side and a close-up of the shop mark on the bottom. Someone had attempted to repaint the backs and then they tried to scrub it off unsuccessfully. There was only one close-up of the company shop mark on the bottom. But no pictures of the back sides that were incredibly flawed. After about 10 hours of working with paint stripper and applying metal polish with a toothbrush I was able to fix the problem. In the end I got a good deal because nobody else bid on them and I was able to fix the damage. The second item I bought had no flaws and I was very pleased.

Good auction house you can deal with
Start a hard beginning time to approved bid, but the item it is really as the house describe, the product it is worth the money what I spent, also as much as lower than what I expect. Just think about the auction house need more trust on new bidders... Anyway, happy ending..

Extra Fees Unecessary
I have to say that while the auctioneer was decent, the payment process felt more frustrating than anything else. Aside from the money this house makes from hammer prices, ostensibly on each end, they were boorish enough to add a fee to pay by credit card. As if I could jog over on my lunch break to California to pay them for the privilege. What is legal is not always wheat is moral or right, especially when dealing with the public. I will not be returning and look elsewhere for those who appreciate our money and patronage.

The UPS shipper
First of all, The pieces were misidentified by the auction house, these are definitely by Lee Kang Hyo, which by the way, my favorite artist. Then, the shipper charged me extra, telling me that both pieces weight 450 pounds, and measurements were wrong and bigger that the auction house measurement. When they got here, I can lift the pieces by myself and I'm over 60 years old. Each weigh more or less 50 pounds.

What they offer is quality authentic items
this auction house still tries to serve the customer. If they did the shipping also hands down would be one of the top three auction houses I want to deal with.. Quality lots interesting lots pleasure to bid and buy from them

Difficult Place to Deal With. Not Very Professional.
This place "Use To" be great. The staff is condescending and unprofessional. I sent my own shipper, who was made to wait, while they found my item, which I believe is because they have a relationship with another shipper. After I called to complain, then things got worse. Hopefully, they fix their problems and get back to being business people.
