Congrats on Winning, Thanks For Bidding With Us, And Condolences on the loss. We have limited time and space and make it very clear in our terms and policies that we have late charges as you are clearly aware of. We also make it clear that once the late charges exceed the value of the items (based on your auction purchase, not any other valuation), the items are to be considered abandoned, claimed in lieu of charges and disposed of in whatever manner the Auction House decides. We do not watch the clock hoping for abandonment as it is of no benefit to us to have the items in the way. And though we are not required to do so, we even pay workers here to proactively attempt to contact buyers, and leave messages to come get your items. We are reasonable, but there is a point where items must be disposed of. They don't go missing, they go away. To anyone reading, we arent abusive on this policy, but we are reasonably firm and this is an example of what happens when buyers are not reasonable in picking up the items they have won. Please don't bid if you aren't prepared to follow through in at least a reasonably efficient manner, because there are limits as to how long we are able to warehouse your items.

We acknowledge that we deserve criticism on the first part of this comment. We believe one bidder loaded the item (accidentally or on purpose) with their items and this should never be allowed to happen. It was a mistake and you deserve an apology at the very least. So with all sincerity, our apologies to you. You are both gracious and correct to acknowledge that mistakes do happen and while we can have thousands of smooth and error free transactions it only takes one careless 5 second time span to create grief and regret. While most times our level of concern for avoiding mistakes and expression of regret goes unnoticed in the heat of the moment, I assure you that we do work hard to avoid mistakes like this and as part of our apology to you also promise that we will work to be more vigilent. I am surprised at your claim you did not even receive an apology. You dont mention anything about being charged, but just in case, I will look into this to double check personally to make sure your item was refunded... And for the record again our apologies... We clearly dropped the ball and deserve to be called out on it.

We don't require using any particular service, and we don't receive any kick backs or referral fees or anything like that. We have posted a list of known shipping service providers on our website and will assist the best we can over the phone as well. We make it clear in the terms of every auction that we are in the auction business not the shipping business. There are too many games that get played with shipping so we stick to auctioning and defer shipping concerns to professionals who specialize in shipping. We publish in our terms, and on our website and communicate directly whenever possible, advising people to get shipping estimates BEFORE bidding to prevent any sort of shipping "sticker shock". < br > And For The Record, I did speak with you directly regarding shipping services that are in our area. So to claim we never spoke is not true Mary. < br > You seem like a frugal person with an eye on the bottom line. No problem w/that, but it should be noted that your view of "Crazy Expensive" for shipping services may not be considered crazy or even unusually high ESPECIALLY given that we are in a holiday season/that is extraordinarily stressed from extra covid purchasing/shipping, lower covid related work force & supply chain shipping pressures. Many people say "It should only cost $6... just stick it in an envelope & send it to me parcel post" We don't do that because we don't want to deal with fraud & broken this & missing that. We state that up front. < br > You're correct for advising people to check shipping quotes BEFORE bidding. Thank you for emphasizing that. Sorry for your experience & that you feel we deserve a 1-star rating for something we already plainly state upfront. Hopefully, the 1 puppet you bought that lot for will be worth it in the long run.

You raise concerns of intentional misrepresentation. Yet there was nothing in the description that was inaccurate, & the item you received was the exact same one as the pics. You sent one email on Christmas Eve & gave us 4 days spanning Christmas weekend during covid to respond. I don't see record of inquiries for addtl pics or condition report & don't have record of any phone call to discuss your displeasure. We aren't perfect, we work hard to make fair & accurate representations. Whenever we do slip up we work harder to make it right b/c we've been in business for 47 yrs, & you dont stay in this business if you're cheating people. In that time, we've seen more than once when people were disappointed w/their purchase b/c they didn't due enough due dilligence. We put it in the terms, & even the condition report, & we can't express it enough for bidders to satisfy themselves BEFORE bidding. I will advise anyone who is considering bidding at our auction that $6 to ship anything is unreasonable and it would be better to attend auctions where you can go pick up the item yourself.
