We typically do not respond to negative reviews. However, in this case, the review contains a number of factual inaccuracies. 1) No condition was ever listed for the lot on which you bid nor did you request a condition report for the lot. In no way can you assert the condition of the item prior to bidding. 2) Your shipper picked up the item after-hours and then proceeded to place the item (a life-sized painted statue) unwrapped and unprotected in the back of a pick-up truck! When we informed you of this, instead of pursuing recourse with your shipper who mishandled and damaged your item, you proceeded to chargeback your purchase and then keep the item! Duplicitous and dishonest only describe your actions. The auction house acted with integrity in this matter.

False listing of gold content

This piece was listed as 18k gold with a gold filled dog clip. The dog clip is the only part that was correct. The chain sections are 10k and the animal heads are 14k. Very very disappointing. I messaged the auction house and have had no reply. I feel like I was deceived

Buyer Beware

I purchased an antique necklace stated as 14K SOLID GOLD. It was not. I contacted Crescent City auctions immediately about the metal purity of the necklace. They demanded I send it back immediately at MY COST in order to receive a refund. It took 2.5 months and multiple emails to receive a refund. I was NEVER refunded for shipping costs to and from, even though I sold a misrepresented item. The refund check was made out incorrectly. Nothing but headaches. A colossal waste of time and now out of pocket over $150 in shipping. Think twice about purchasing from this auction house.

One of a kind find!

One of the rarer Ansonia figural clocks and although with a few imperfections (thoroughly disclosed in lot description), she is ticking and keeping time right out of the box and will be a joy to cosmetically restore. I'm a repeat buyer from this auction house and will continue to be!
