Item received did not match item I bid for and won
I was supposed to receive a tanzanite ring with VVS quality per auction house condition report. Instead auction house sent me a ring that has S1 quality per the GIA certified appraiser that evaluated the ring. Very disappointed with this auction house

Missrepresentation = SCAM!!!!!
The ring arrived and I was VERY disappointed! The colour of the sapphire was extremely pale in comparison to the one represted on their website that I bid on. When I immediately informed Estate Jewelry of the deception there were many back and forth evasive emails on their part. Their decision today is that they will not accept the ring back without charging me $1862.29 to "restock" it! I would have been fine returning it for a full refund without a restocking fee. The degree of difference in coulour of the ring they showed on their website compared to the one I received is nothing less than a scam! I know what I am talking about as I am a gemmologist. These people are dishonest and are not to be trusted.

The ring stone size was not as advertised and poor customer service.
Unfortunately, my experience in dealing with the Estate Jewelry Auctioneers was a disappointing one. The stone of the ring I purchased was advertised as: Total Natural Aquamarine Weight is 16.26ctw, Measures: 20.03x12.99mm, but in reality, the stone is much smaller: Measures: 15.50x11.00 mm. After sending many emails, with questions of how we can deal with the fact that the advertised ring was not the same that I received, I got one line email: Send the ring back for the checking. Well, I paid for this ring, also paid duty and taxes, and was asking the Estate Jewelry Auctioneers who will cover the shipping expenses back and forth and new duty? They said that they will not be responsible for any of this. I asked why do I have to cover their mistake, and asked for the name and phone number of the company representative, who can provide some guarantee that, if in fact, I will send my ring back I will get a correct item back. The Estate Jewelry Auctioneers, refused to provide me with the name and phone number, and gave no assurance at all. When the company refuses to provide name and phone number for its customer service personnel, what this tells you about integrity of this company? If this company falsely advertised the ring, didn’t offer any meaningful customer support, have no option to talk to over the phone, I just simply don’t trust such company. So, it was a disappointing experience overall. I hope Live Actioners will take notice of this feedback and my experience (as I’m sure that are many similarly disappointed customers) and have means to hold Estate Jewelry Auctioneers accountable for how they advertised their items and for their very poor customer service.

Ring looks nothing like picture
I was so excited to finally get my ring, and when I opened the box I actually thought they had shipped another ring. But on inspection, I realized that it is the same ring, but in the picture the tourmaline looked like it was surrounded by the diamond setting, but in fact the main stone is sitting alone and the diamonds are beneath it by (I'm guessing) 1/3 of an inch making the ring look totally different. I am really disappointed.

As someone who is new to online jewelry auctions, I was initially hesitant to make sizable purchases without actually seeing the items. But everything was exactly as shown and absolutely beautiful. And I like that the appraisals were mailed in a separate envelope.

Auction House Review
Finally received my item, took 3x as long as the auction house told me it would. I had to reach out numerous before I had a tracking number in hand. Expect your items to take a while to get to you. I was, however, satisfied with the purchase apart from the entire back half of the purchasing process.

Photos aren’t necessarily the product being auctioned
Purchased an 18kt yellow gold ring with natural sapphire Center stone and two side diamonds. The photo was not a photo of the actual ring being auctioned. The sapphire had two surface, eye-visible inclusions that were not disclosed in the description, nor shown in the photos. The ring setting was as described and the setting itself was excellent quality and beautiful. The ring is hallmarked 18kt, as described.
