Please consider moving to in-house shipping for your online auction customers. UPS stores charge a 170 % markup on shipping fees and it basically provides a disincentive to purchasing online from you. I will not be able to purchase again knowing that the local UPS store is charging such high prices.

tHE auction house went out of its way to query a winning bidder on an item I missed bidding on, on my request. This one act along with the other factors make them ranked very high in my estimation.

Items (Porsche sunglasses) were sold as in GOOD condition... 2 of them had broken solderings, totally unfixable..., And they were The most collectibles! (aviators).. No answer from The auction house after 3 mails asking explainations... Totally avoid this auction house!

iT WOULD HELP SURVEY TAKERS TO KNOW THE ITEM NOT JUST THE AUCTION HOUSE THE SURVEY IS FOR. some OF US DO MANY AUCTIONS WEEKLY. wE MOSTLY REMEMBER THE ITEM AND NOT THE HOUSE UNLESS WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE.

The piece of art I bought is fraudulent. It is not by the artist listed. The seller is very slow to respond to my request for a full refund. They asked for proof and I provided them with 2 references that same day. One was the artists daughter and another was a gallery that knows her and her work. I have also disputed this with American Express and they have not heard from the seller

This was the first purchase where the auction house did not recognize my tax number that I have as part of my personal information on your site. I sent to emails asking why they were charging me tax and they never responded. I paid the tax because it was only a couple dollars but this makes me weary about making a large purchase at this auction company. I am very surprised they do not recognize the information your website provides.

Shipping extremely high $35.00 shipping on a 62.00 statue. However, I did receive product in two days just in time for X-mas. Not sure if that the reason for high shipping, if so, that was not explained to me. I believe approximate shipping prices should be noted on each auction item, or at least a shipping calculator to get approximate cost.

Yes, the UPS store you sent my items to for shipping, is trying to charge me an OUTRAGEOUS shipping fee of $141.00 +! This is totally ludicrous, for two small items, most likely not even 8 lbs!!! Please check into this and have my items reclaimed and sent by a FAIR shipper with a humane and HONEST shipping charge! Tim **********

OR AT THE VERY LEAST HE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO PUT "AS IS" OR "DAMAGED" IN HIS TITLE. PEOPLE ARE QUICK LOOKING AT AUCTIONS BC OF THE VOLUME OF ITEMS IT IS CUMBERSOME. Very professional company-will visit and participate in another auction conducted by this group.

My experience with Hudson Valley Auction was a very positive one, however, the shipper charged an expensive fee for packing and handling. The packing materials used were average, not excessive. The painting was on the smaller side and not heavy at all. According to UPS shipping, and I don't remember the exact figures, actual shipping was around $35.00 and I was charged about $65.00. I am not against them charging a fee for their services, but I feel this was an excessive amount. If I buy from Hudson Valley Auction again I will ask if there are other options for shipping before I bid on an item. Thanks
