The number of displays of each item in the auction continues to improve. Bidding by phone is much easier than participating in the auction on site. I will continue to patronize Slotin Folk Art.

I have bought several pieces from Slotin Folk Art and each piece has exceeded my expectation in quality. They package and ship items with great care.

Staff was easy to work with and responded to email immediately. This was a pleasant experience with one exception. The pace of the sale was extremely slow-at one point hammering only 29 lots per hour. I was bidding at two sales for different clients and the other sale which had 479 lots ended three hours before Slotin's.

Slotin Folk Art Auction always has good service and packing. In many years of buying from them, I have never received a broken or damaged item. They pack in house and do a great job, even on very fragile items. They usually tell you the shipping price in the description, which is very helpful.

First time bidding with Slotin, my mother when she was alive always received the auction catalog, so I watch all of their auctions. Always fun to see the items on auction. Can't wait for next one. The painting I won, was exactly as described, shipping done quickly and well protected.

They are very easy to work with and have wonderful selections of folk and outsider art. Appreciated how much in-house shipping they do as well.

None of the six pieces I paid for arrived unscathed. It looked like a bad joke except I paid for it and am still waiting to hear from them. Five of the paintings were unwrapped and just tossed in with the one large canvas which was wrapped loosely in bubble wrap that had no paper between it and the canvas which was consequently chafed and scratched. As we’re all of the others, some of which were put together with the front of one painting against the back of another and nothing in between. It’s a shame because the rest of their operation seems ok but the art is all damaged as a result of incredibly sloppy shipping.

I purchase art pretty much every week on Live Auctioneers and elsewhere-and there is no auction house that is more personable and supportive than Slotin. For those of us who acquire regularly, the fact that Slotin makes shipping so incredibly simple puts them miles beyond most others. Many of the other auctioneers disappear after you win an auction and behave as if shipping is not their concern and that we should just figure it out. Not Slotin, they clearly list their shipping price for each individual item, and on the rare occasion when they cannot ship the piece, Slotin will work with you to help provide the most economical shipper possible. It's like two entirely different experiences compared to most of the other bigger name auction house who act as if you are a nuisance after you've won an item. Slotin is transparent, honest, supportive, and never disappoints!

Definitely recommend and will use in the future.
