Everything about Slotin Folk Art is 5 stars. Starting with catalogs and online presence to actual live auction day experience for the buyer is as good as it gets. The job done packaging and shipping my purchases was perfect-everything arrived safely and in perfect condition. Shipping. THUMBS DOWN!
Received some with scratch on frames... They were shipped with no protection between frames and could slid around rubbing aginst each other.!!! Needless to say... not happy... but what is done is done. I give a zero on packing/shipping!!! I have.... since receiving them... at my own expense... provided protection between each frame. $300.00 shipping charge wasted!!!

better than expected
I've bid on items before and was always pleased, but this time the item I bid on looked even better than the already excellent photo, and I was very pleased, not only with the item itself, but with the quick and great packing/shipping job. Based on my experience-highly recommended auction house with cool, unusual artwork.

quality of shipping
The painting came bubble wrapped. I now have small bubble wrap impressions all over the painting that wont come off.

Hey James, I am so sorry to hear the piece arrived with the bubble wrap impressions. I must say, I have never had this happen before in 26 years of shipping and I'm baffled. I wonder if there is some sort of coating or layer on the surface that made it easy to leave impressions. We want you to be happy and we have a few suggestions. You could take it to a professional art restorer and see if there is a film that can be cleaned off the top layer-we would be happy to pay for this. Another option is we are happy to refund a portion the price to make up for the damage. And a third option is, you could return the painting and we will refund the entire amount.
