Even though Hermann Historica is located in Germany, dealing with them was very positive. Great responsiveness to questions and VERY helpful with both information and completing the purchase. I have purchased twice from them and both experiences were positive. One thing to note-if purchasing firearms when a US resident, plan on a lengthy delivery period to the US. It's a complicated process requiring a US import license, a German export license, shipping to their US importer and then re-shipment to your FFL. This can take several months and adds considerably to the cost (approx $300 + if part of a multiple shipment from Germany). Still, you can find unique and interesting firearms that are otherwise unavailable in the US. Those I purchased were still well under US prices even with the shipping and import costs. I highly recommend this auction house-just be prepared to wait several months if buying forearms, and be sure to know what can and can't be imported.

Communication is very poor. Any time i send an email, it’s a miracle they respond. There are no updates given to the consumer. Firearms take months for processing but it has been half a year and they still havent even shipped them (I only know this because I’ve been in contact with MMB Imports which is who they use for imports). I happened to be in Germany 2 months after winning the auction so i actually called them The person i spoke with was rude and informed me that they do not provide invoices for paid items or receipts. Unfortunately i won another firearm from them, but they havent sent an invoice to me and it’s been a month. I do not plan on using this auction house again for firearms

I want to say that I waited a little longer for the answers and the delivery of the sword, but I think that Hermann Historica is a great auction house and I would recommend it to everyone!:)

I paid for my lot on November 4, the auction has not responded to any of my letters for 14 days, if they have a lot of work, then let them return the money back.

I won items in January. I did not get an invoice for nearly six months! (a few days shy of six months) They then tried to tell me I was late paying-and didn't respond to my email for a further three months!!!! This is unacceptable and I'm not sure how they thing customers can trust them in any way....

Auction was held mid-June, I received an invoice 4 weeks later, one day later I faxed cc information directly to Hermann Historica... then silence??? I have had no communication or replies to my messages since. Steer clear of Hermann Historica Auctions, all of the bad reviews on here are true. Never again! Terrible Customer Service!!!

Buyer beware. What ever you do do not give them you credit or debit card info. Was charged twice for items and after 2 months of trying to straighten it out i gave up trying. They have seen the last dollar out of me they will ever get. Great items but not worth paying twice for any of it!!!

Obviously too busy for prompt payers. I contacted them, they gave me a reply on February 16, 2022 "We will advise when ready" nothing since. You take my money February 8, 2022 and a month later still no status, tracking? You just don't care. I have purchased from other German Auction houses, with no issues.

I wish I knew before committing to use these people, I feel like I have been taken by scammers, they simply do not reply to any of my efforts, in today's world when phone calls are free this a bad indication, beware.
