I asked for a full condition report of the item. I specifically wanted to know about damage or repairs. I was quite pleased when someone from the auction house actually took the time to call me to go over the piece with me on the phone and then said they'd send more photos (I believe they sent 2 additional photos at very odd angles). They gave a glowing report on the piece, saying it had been lovingly cared for, no problems whatsoever, when in fact, it arrived with trim pieces on the bottom coming off, feet pulled out and screw holes stripped, and there were clear repairs all over the piece. It had also clearly been painted, the bubbling finish making this plainly obvious. I reached out to the auction house for help. I was asked to provide photos, which I did, and then never heard from them again. Super disappointing. I'm starting to think that auction houses in general are not to be trusted to provide true and accurate condition reports. This was not an inexpensive piece, once the ridiculously high shipping through their UPS store partner was paid, so it's a big disappointment and another huge expense in restorations for me. If I could say anything, I would just say be very wary when asking for condition reports, and make sure you get good, clear, and detailed photos of everything.

We purchase items from all over the world I have two drivers that pick up and in large items and pay on site. This saves on CC fees. This was communicated to Clarke but they choose to open up a dispute and we paid the 4550 plus via CC. No internal communication. Not a good Auction Company to do business with.

I'm deeply disappointed! Upon receiving the item, I found it's glass, not Jade. I reached out to the auction house, returned the item with the requested tracking number, and they confirmed receiving it. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I haven't received a refund. Can you believe they requested a return but haven't issued a refund until now?
