Pleasantly surprised
Everything as described. I'm happy with the purchase. Some minor cosmetic issues that were accurately described ahead in the listing so i'm good with it. Easy auction house to deal with.

Straightforward
This was my first time buying from this auction house, and everything went really smoothly. The bidding process was easy, the item looked just like it did in the listing, and it arrived safely and well packed. Overall, very happy with the experience and would buy from them again.

Beautiful Artwork
A great option for anyone who loves the style of classic master painters but does not want to spend a fortune. The finished piece captures the character and atmosphere of fine art while still feeling unique. I’m very happy with the quality and would gladly recommend this service.

Not much communication
After 3 weeks, I had heard nothing. The first email I received was this survey. A status update or more communication would have been helpful. The item arrived well pack in a double box and in great shape. overall, I am satisfied.

BUYER BEWARE. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING HERE
Both listings are explicitly labeled "in the style of" — meaning these are not attributed to Picasso or Abercrombie as authentic works. They're decorative pieces made in the style/manner of those artists, sold with estimates in the $6, 000 – $50, 000 range but opening bids of $500 – $900. Red flags worth knowing about this seller specifically This gallery runs the same auction format repeatedly (I found near-identical sales in Feb 2025, Jul 2025, Nov 2025, Jan/Feb/Apr 2026), always featuring a rotating cast of "Picasso," "Monet," "Van Gogh," "Basquiat," etc. "in the style of" lots with suspiciously wide, inflated estimates against $500 opening bids. Their own terms and conditions state plainly: "we will provide any provenance and authenticity that comes with the items. But we are not arts EXPERTS, we are not responsable for the authenticity of the pieces." They also disclaim responsibility for "Authentication, 4-Provenance, 5-Attribution, 6-Age or period, Accuracy of descriptions." LiveAuctioneersLiveAuctioneers Sales are final, no returns, no refunds once payment is made — combined with zero authentication guarantee. The "estimate" ranges (e. g., $15, 000 – $26, 000) look designed to create the impression of a bargain relative to the $500 – $900 opening bid, but they're not backed by any appraisal standard you'd typically rely on (no auction house condition report, no named authenticator, no exhibition/sale history). Bottom line These are essentially unattributed decorative reproductions/homages — not real Picasso or Abercrombie or other artist paintings — being sold through a template auction format this gallery runs on a near-monthly basis in Miami. If you're looking for decor, that's a different calculation than if you were hoping for something with resale value tied to the named artists — there, this format offers essentially no protection.

Thank you for your feedback. We believe transparency is essential, which is why every listing clearly states “In the Style of” in the title and description whenever a work is not represented as an original by the named artist. We do not advertise these pieces as authentic works by Picasso, Abercrombie, or any other listed artist. Our auction estimates reflect our opinion of current decorative and collectible market value and are not presented as certified appraisals or guarantees of future resale value. As with many auction houses, our Terms & Conditions explain the nature of the auction process and encourage all bidders to carefully review the descriptions, photographs, and terms before placing a bid. We are always available to answer questions or provide any documentation that accompanies a lot before the auction closes. We appreciate every bidder’s diligence and remain committed to accurate descriptions, full disclosure, and a transparent bidding experience.

Scammers..... plain and simple
International Art Auction Gallery is a very suspicious, misleading and purposely deceptive art auction house. My very first participation with on-line bidding, I won! $2, 800.00 for a (what I now see) deceptively advertised piece of art. As I proceeded to payment, I started noticing all the other similar pieces that were more around $500. As I began to investigate further, I noted that many of the Provenances were EXACTLY the same, except that the private owner names were changed. When I questioned IAAG about this and why mine was so expensive I received a snarky response. Which leads me to believe there was something very odd about how I was constantly outbid. I informed them at that moment that I would not be purchasing the piece, and they have not removed it from my cart despite my I agreement to pay a "cancellation fee". I continued to write to these so called professionals, 3 times requesting that they remove the item from my cart and they never responded until I finally hit a nerve with something called a "Peter", who began a diatribe about how IAAG used the term "In the Style of" plainly, and that for me to insinuate that they "mass produce" paintings, is just so insulting to IAAG and they needed evidence to support that suspicion. In summary... I have now requested that they remove the piece from my cart 4 times, with no action by IAAG. Just constant seemingly rehearsed, prewritten retorts that again are eerily similar to all the other unfavorable reviews they receive. Threats to me that if I want to cancel (which I have now requested 4 times) that it would be on their Terms and Conditions. HOW MUCH CLEARER DO I HAVE TO BE????????? These BOTS or whatever I have been dealing with, is drawing this out and what I now believe is that IAAG likely spends most of their days defendings its unethical business practices (as evident by the plethora of bad reviews submitted by hundreds of disappointed bidders over the years). Beware of this organization!

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We respectfully disagree with several statements in your review. Before bidding, every lot clearly stated “In the Style of” in both the title and description. At no point was the artwork represented as an original by the named artist. Regarding your cancellation request, we responded promptly and informed you that, under our published Terms & Conditions, winning bids are binding. As a courtesy, we offered the option to cancel your purchase subject to the cancellation terms. Ultimately, we did not charge you any cancellation fee, despite the time and administrative costs involved. This was also not the first time this situation occurred. Similar bidding and cancellation requests took place in more than one of our auctions, yet we still chose to resolve the matter without assessing the contractual cancellation fee. We encourage all bidders to carefully review the descriptions, photographs, estimates, and Terms & Conditions before placing bids. We remain committed to transparent listings, fair auction practices, and respectful communication with all of our clients.

There was no communication after you win and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to speak with
Why is this?? No phone number. Can’t speak to anyone or even send an email that will be handling your case.

Hello, We sincerely apologize for any frustration caused during the process. However, we would like to clarify that communication updates regarding the piece were sent after the auction, including status updates related to the item. We always strive to respond to our clients as quickly as possible through the LiveAuctioneers messaging system and email communications associated with the order. We understand the importance of clear communication and will continue working to improve our response experience for all clients. Thank you for your feedback and understanding.

The art for sale was sold as unauthenticated. In actuality it is fakes. Dont waste your money.
Not worth the money the claim it to be.

International Art Auction Gallery

We respectfully disagree with this statement. All artworks offered by International Art Auction Gallery are clearly and transparently described in the listing, including their status as unauthenticated and, where applicable, offered “in the style of,” “attributed to,” or as secondary-market works. These terms are industry-standard and are disclosed prior to bidding, in full compliance with LiveAuctioneers ’ policies. No item in this auction was represented as authenticated or guaranteed to be an original by the named artist. Buyers are encouraged to review descriptions carefully and ask questions before bidding, and we are always available to provide clarification. We stand by our transparency, disclosures, and ethical auction practices. — International Art Auction Gallery

A very poor quality fake
For the price, I didn’t expect it to be a genuine signed original Rothko. There were many attempts to pass it off as authentic for photos, but when it arrived, it was an embarrassing obvious amateurish fake. Basically what I received was a very expensive canvas that I eventually painted over and will use for something else.

Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the piece did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the artwork you purchased was clearly listed and described as “in the style of the artist,” not as an original signed Rothko. Because these works do not include the documentation required to be represented as authentic originals, we offer them strictly as stylistic pieces at a fraction of what an authenticated work would cost. At no point do we advertise these items as genuine or attempt to mislead buyers. All details — including title, description, condition, and the “in the style of” designation — are fully visible prior to bidding. That said, we genuinely value your satisfaction and regret that this piece was not what you were hoping for. If you would like to explore another resolution, such as a refund, please contact the auction house directly so we can assist you. Thank you for your understanding. Warm regards, International Art Auction Gallery

The modern day auction experience
Being a collector of many interests I am always on the hunt for my next great find. About a year or so ago I started delving into the auction world and was very surprised when I came across Live Auctioneers and have continually returned to find many great additions to my collection. The service and comunication has been top notch. Every item I've purchased was described accurately and the shipping departments recommended all sent my items out quickly and carefully packaged. Always a great experience!!!... Scott Lmany auction houses they show on their website

Very bad service, very bad communication.
The problems began as soon as I won the items. I asked to split the payment, but my messages went unanswered and the full amount was charged through LiveAuctioneers. When I requested detailed information about the pieces, none was provided. Because of the lack of communication and transparency, I attempted to cancel the transaction; that request was refused. I was then directed to a third party for pickup, who charged me for packaging I neither requested nor authorized. Overall, the experience fell well below the standard of other auctions I’ve won.

Didn't follow through with paperwork as stated
I called them before shipping and was told they had paperwork for the history of the painting and it would come with the painting. I was also told that a wood crate would be built for it to be shipped in and that's why it costs so much to ship. Was also told it's an authentic Vincent Van Gogh painting with paperwork. When I receive it, it came by UPS in a cardboard box with no paperwork and I have reached out to them to request paperwork and to find out if I could get a discount on shipping as it was not in a wood crate as promised. I have not been able to reach anyone nor have they responded to my messages. They claim the painting are "in the style of" but I was told it was authentic including the signature but now I have my doubts. Seems to be more of a scam than honest.

Access to Fine Art from Afar
As a first-time online bidder for fine art, I truly appreciated the access and opportunity to participate. The platform made it possible to engage with incredible pieces I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. The process was user-friendly and exciting — an excellent way to connect with the art world from afar.
