Slow
Service is fine, but slow. As for most wins on Liveauctioneers the shipping charges are expensive, and often times an item can be shipped in a much smaller package with less cost. This latter comment applies particularly to items that could be put in a padded envelope and shipped via USPS.

Hello, If we put an 1884 spokeshave in a padded envelope, it may have gotten there ok. But if it had gotten broken and we did not pack it properly, then we would have gotten a review for not packing it correctly. Your package was shipped two days after the auction. I am sorry you were not happy with our shipping. Hope you have a great day!

First time buyer, these guys are pros!
I have bought thousands of items on other auction sites but was a first time user here. The seller made the process so easy and foolproof. What hooked me most was the rock solid packing job and easy shipping process. Anyone who's ever bought something pricey online knows that half the battle is receiving it in one piece. For my purchase they used an insulated box packed inside of a larger insulated box. I usually never leave reviews but this experience was worth it!

Shipping cost double the selling price of the item-nope! Not doing it.
Imagine my surprise when I received a quote for shipping a medallion to me that was more than twice the price of the medallion. I suggested that MJ Stasak keep the item since it seemed too hard for them to put it into an envelope and stick a prepaid label on it that I'd provide. They may be nice enough auctioneers, but I won't be bidding in any of their future auctions.

Hello, Our shipping terms are very straight forward. They are in our Shipping terms, Auction Terms, & Description. When you buy a $6 item, of course the shipping is going to be more than the item.

Carefully Packed/Exactly Item I Expected
Item arrived safely and soundly! I was truly impressed at how well you packed it. Also it was exactly as pictured and what I expected. Also I appreciate your shipping service SO much. I got a deal on this auction lot was so happy that it didn't cost more than a reasonable sum to ship! Thanks again! The jar I purchased is sitting with the other old/rare ones in my collection on the shelf up high to be extra sure it stays safe!
