Very FAIR auction.. Great prices and products, always as expected...

I hate leaving reviews, especially negative ones. As a small business owner and reseller I understand how they can impact your relationships with customers. I like M. J. Stasak as an auction house. I believe they provide adequate photographs, and I don't believe they ever intentionally misrepresent something. The diversity in products offered up is fantastic, and they were quite responsive to my communications regarding the holiday season. With that being said, I purchased/won 9 what I consider jewelry lots. One of them included two medium size boxed groupings. The sum total with the 18 % buyers premium was $476 and some change. The shipping itself was a reasonable 25 and some change. The fee to ship was $55.00, adding about 20 % to the net amount of my pre-buyers premum cost for the combines shipping expense. I know the M. J. Stasak will say in response, it is disclosed-and it is. Outside of M. J. Stasak, I have seen other auction houses disclose the same fee, yet I do not recall ever having paid this kind of fee for small jewelry items-less the one lot that was jewelry, but had rwo 10x8x 2 1/2 "boxes with contents that were not bubble wrapped. Honestly, I feel it is to the benefit of your buyers to have a reliable 3rd party shipper whose business is shipping. I had a large package come in from Canada costing less than this, and usually my jewelry shipments from Canada cost no more than $40.00 fully insured with signature and I am in the states. As a regular buyer for my business, the added 20 % is about 14 % more than I would expect. I'm one that pays promptly and takes my lumps on stuff that isn't what it should have been and pay my shipping, regardless, promptly. But the experience with you this last time was very unexpected and disappointing. Your fee policy only impacts those that require shipping, and if you don't like shipping that much, and don't have a reasonable 3rd party shipper, I simply don't know why you would sell using an online platform.

I messaged the auctioneer asking about pickup and received no answer. I literally live 5 minutes from them. They did answer a follow up message and informed me that item had to be picked up the day of the auction. It had been set aside to be shipped. Very small item. Rather than just let them keep it. I opted to pay the 15 dollar handling fee and 1p dollars shipping. I felt since I obviously didn't read their rules that I should go through with the transaction. It was their fault that I didn't read the rules. I just felt that they could have let me pickup even if the charged me the handling fee and saved the shipping. Just be aware that your item may end up being shipped if you don't show up in person the day of the auction. Doesn't make sense to have a live auction IMO without being able to pickup item the day after. I probably won't bid again and still am little bitter over the whole thing. Live and learn

Stasak continually, over years, says what they mean honestly. Doing what they say, seals the deal.

Was impressed with the buying experience, the process from bidding to transfer to delivery to shipper. As to the shipping, that's another story.... I buy from auction house for clients all the time and called this particular shipper to see if the price could be rethought for it seemed a bit out of the ordinary (the high side). Was told by the representative of the shipper it could be reworked so we talked through the process, only to find when the item arrived, I was charged exactly the amount of the original quote. That seemed a bit odd and disappointing.

Every auction and pickup it is the same high level of service and professionalism. I can count on it always being secure and with all safeguards being in force. If I have to call, I get a principle of the company and get an answer. They always take care of their customers needs.

I enjoy the products that M. J. Stasak Auctions brings to LiveAuctioneers and Mike has always been prompt and courteous when talking on the phone regarding shipping. I will always follow his auctions to add to my growing tool collection.

they answered every question i had in a buyer friendly manner. costs are reasonable in today's market, unlike that 'more fees' auction you might be watching. i wish all auction houses operated this well.
