Great Customer Service and Buyer-Friendly Shipping
I bid on and won an item recently at Meander Auctions. Payment through Live Auctioneers was easy and communicating with Andrew to set up shipping was easy. In fact, Andrew received my message right after wining my item in which I requested that I would need shipping, so that the item cost, auctioneer fees, and shipping costs were all contained in one invoice that I was quickly able to pay at one time. Responsiveness to my questions and requests were quick and respectful. This is a great auction house to do business with.

Buyer Beware!
The Ohio Company Antiques & Art does not do in-house packing and shipping. They rely on the local UPS store for both packing and shipping. You really can't blame UPS workers for not knowing the complexities of packing a fragile antique. This company also does not answer phone calls or emails quickly. There are so many other companies who use Live Auctioneers out there who are grateful to their buyers, and are always happy to help. I will never bid on their items again.

I'm sorry that your doll did not survive shipping. I've talked with Carla at the UPS Store twice to assist her in helping you with the claim. As for our responsiveness, I responded to each of your 3 LA messages and all of your emails within 24 hours. I also emailed you letting you know when I delivered your item to the UPS Store for shipment (and we deliver things to the UPS Store at no cost to our buyers). We * are * extremely grateful to each and every bidder and buyer, and are always happy to help.

Since no comment was left, I'll fill in the reason behind the 1-star review: Heidi purchased one lot, paid, and was patiently awaiting its delivery to the UPS Store. Unfortunately, the lot turned up missing. It was likely taken (accidentally) by a buyer who picked up other box lots during the pickup days. Once I realized this, I let Heidi know, apologized, and issued a full refund. I also told her that if I could track it down (no luck yet), I would happily complete the sale and I would pay for the shipping to her. It's an unfortunate circumstance, and no doubt very disappointing to Heidi. I'll keep looking and inquiring, and remain sincerely sorry.
