Our company was born from a passion for great Italian Mid Century design and more, a passion that has led us to carefully select the unique pieces we offer for sale. Ours is a company with a strong vocation for elegance and the style of modernism, art deco and new contemporary interpretations capable of stirring emotions. With the capacity of three warehouses in the province of Milan, we have selected more than 2000 pieces to satisfy every need from furniture to furnishing accessories. Our collection consists of a wide range of styles from the early 1900s to the 1990s. Our team of 15 people will help you choose and select a piece, which can be restored and personalised according to your taste and needs. We organise 100% insured worldwide door-to-door shipping by working with specialist couriers from our network (this service is chargeable outside of the auction). All of our mid-century furniture and objects can be requested for hire for TV or editorial productions, showrooms, events or exhibitions. We also deal in designer, antique and modern furniture.

Amazing sofa by Tobia Scarpa B & B Italia

Unprofessional

The lamp, described as 'well functioning' in the auction page, actually doesn't work. Disappointing experience. Wouldn't buy from them again.

Will not bid again

I had an awful experience with this auction house and will not work with them again. 1) Based on the history of bids it looked like no one else bid on this item. In past auctions with other companies, when I was the only bidder I would win the lot before the item hit the maximum bid I had set. Here, they had programmed their settings so that my bid competed with itself until it hit the maximum I set. Yes, I had a maximum in mind, but only if there was actual competition for the lot. With no competition at all, driving the price up to the ceiling felt kind of dishonest to me. 2) Their in-house shipper, MBE, was extremely unresponsive and quite sloppy with paperwork. Although Vintage Domus is not actually responsible for shipping, they should feel some ownership over who they pass their clients to after lots are won. With MBE, I had submitted proof of payment, designated a delivery address, and asked them to verify wire instructions several times. No response. Vintage Domus seemed to have little interest in helping me out. Weeks later, they told me they returned from vacation. I had to re-submit the same paperwork an additional 3-4 times. Even after I sent the wire, I did not hear back until I hassled them again. They then said the items were on their way. But guess what? I got a notice from DHL with the completely INCORRECT address and had to spend another 2 hours on the phone trying to redirect the package. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. It's a shame Live Auctioneers does not vet their users more thoroughly.
