Receive items in a timely manner and packed well to avoid any damage during shipping.

I hacve purchased antique phonographs through Stanton's several times already and am certain to be back. The process of on-line bidding could not be more simple!

Over these many years of collecting, I have traveled to a number of Stanton's Phonograph Auctions in person, so I knew I could trust them. This time I stayed home and bid through Liveauctioneers for the first time. I very much enjoyed the experience and will do it again. I had to weigh the value of me being able to inspect the items in person plus being able to take the items I won directly home with me, compared with just looking at photos and reading the short descriptions and the cost of the higher buyers premium and other fees including shipping and packing. This was a three day auction, so I would have had 5 days of hotel, gas and all the expenses of traveling. The two items I won had a bid total of $1, 900.00. If I was there in person there would have been a buyers premium, for a lesser amount, but the credit card and taxes would still be the same. Since I was not there the total cost of all the fees (including shipping and packing) was $2, 891.14. I was expecting this added cost and bid accordingly. (I was not winning bidder on a couple things because I kept the overall total cost in mind.) I am VERY happy with adding these two treasures to my collection! The item disappeared after the auction and payment was made. Stantons was quick to refund the purchase amount.

Very disappointed. Typical auctionier double talk to deceive buyer. Bidder beware! One exemplary shining moment was PakMail. The firm that mails Stanton's auction items is head and shoulders above the rest. Pak Mail was honest, ethical, did exceptional packing, and more than reasonable charges. Auction went very well and I received my items very quickly. I got a call from the shipper (PakMail) within a couple of days and within 3 days I had my items. My items were very fragile and I received them very well packaged and at a reasonable price. I was afraid there would be some damaged pieces since I opted not to pay the extra expense for insurance & the associated extra packing required for that but, my items came well packed and there were no damaged items. PakMail did a great job.

Items as described. Shipping service used is superior with terrific service, professional packing and prompt receipt.

Everyone at Stanton's was friendly and cooperative. Very happy with the purchase, the item, and the ability to pickup.

Watch was show with a fancy damaskeen pattern on the movement and when it arrived it was a regular movement without any of the designs show in the picture Mr, Stanton was rude and used bad language about the return and it has been 3 weeks and no refund.... Not recommended.!

There are so many auction houses and they are not all the same. I am a repeat customer with Stanton's because I receive quality items that are properly described and photographed. In addition, their customer services is exceptional. They use an out-sourced shipping company as many do, but theirs goes above and beyond to ship my items packed properly and in a timely manner. Just a great overall experience.

They don’t wrap unboxed cylinder records unless you tell them to. The unboxed records came loose and there were rub marks on several as well as chunks of loose plaster in the box. They charge $2.75 per cylinder. I didn’t know that they would not be wrapped or that they offered the wrapping service. Was very disappointed. It was all sent by freight and cost nearly $1000.00 to ship.
