LONDON – This fall, more than 100 newly rediscovered drawings by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849) will go on public display for the very first time at the British Museum. The exhibition, titled Hokusai: The Great Picture Book of Everything, will open on September 30 and continue through January 30, 2022.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The John and Peggy Maximus Gallery at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History has departed from its usual emphasis on early Western scientific illustration to present Kachō-e: Impressions of Natural History in Japanese Prints thanks to a loan from artist and collector Bill Logan.
