Medals, Bonds, Banknotes, Stamps and Coins
The militaria section contains over 60 iron and gilt Tsuba's (Samurai sword Guards). This section also includes a rare and important George III Lord Chancellors "burse" which was specificially made to carry the Great Seal of England (est. £4000-5000).
There is a good selection of Irish Provincial Banknotes including rare Guinea and Four Guines notes from Ross Bank circa 1814, many being unissued. These range from £80 upwards
There are over 150 lots of Bonds and Shares including many Canadian, Chinese and Russian but the highlight is probably the rare Royal Canal Company Certificate for a £100 share dated 1798 (est £550-750). This was to finance the completion of the Royal Canal from the City of Dublin to Tarmonbury on the Rover Shannon.
The coin section includes good Ancient pieces in silver and gold, hammered amd milled coins, and interesting lots of coins from around the world.
