Spectacle of Speed - Goddess of Speed

The Spectacle of Speed will feature the fabulous hood ornament from the Packard automobile, the Goddess of Speed. Jay Leno being a huge car collection has Sponsored, and autographed a statue of his own which will be offered only through this auction. This icon was selected due to its connection to Warren, Ohio's history, which is where this Auction Gala is taking place.

The Spectacle of Speed exhibit opened on Tuesday, June 26 at the Warren Community Amphitheatre. 35 statues were on display collectively from June 26 until June 30. After the July 4th holiday the Goddesses were on display at various locations throughout Trumbull County. On Saturday, October 27, 2007 the Goddess of Speed statues will once again be all together for the charity auction. This public auction to help to generate revenue for local arts and cultural organizations and will be held at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Avenue, Warren. A total of 25 statues will be available for purchase through the auction. Organizations benefiting are:

* Trumbull 100 Community Foundation
