FINE ART, ANTIQUES, COLLECTIBLES, TOYS

Please Hit More Here for Exciting Future News ... A good and somewhat smaller sized sale of Sunday afternoon offerings, a broad array of mixed things of merit, no actual reserves, strong values with modest to very low starting bids. This is an on-line only auction, with an open format for the possibility of live phone bids and absentee bids. These times for hands on viewing and acceptance of any left bids, those to be exercised by the auction house. This sale includes a family collection of fine German prints of all types, the group with a fascinating historical past including a Hitler connection. Some fine models and toys, numerous paintings and bronzes by Charles Arcier. An interesting mix of various nice paintings and artworks as well as some good antiques and ethnographic art and a few rugs round out this sale. Our truly great on-line and in-house auction that will celebrate the 40 years of continuous operation of auctions at the Old Red Barn as well as the end of my first year of its on-line transition, will be taking place. That 40th anniversary sale will appear here sometime in the last half of April. The complete sale will hold offerings, from a full range of things of extreme importance, museum candidates and internationally desired things, down to very special antiques, antiquities, ethnographic arts, as well as important paintings and drawings that range from numerous old master works through to the 20th century, including sculpture. It will be presented in numerous tranches of 40 lots, the first incorporating world class, 'big' auction things and museum caliber treasures. Those to be followed by numerous descending tranches of varied things of importance, down to just fine antiques and art properties with a strong emphasis on great value though out. On that sale, we will start trying a trial of post auction, physical delivery, perhaps by a van Watch for us, "City Stuff in the Country". We will not disappoint.
