Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction

What an auction this turned out to be. Consignments from the Gilbert Cooper Collection, the Dale and Betty Roberts Collection and a group of artifacts from the Paul Carr Collection have provided a variety of fine artifacts to choose from in this sale. There are many fine Flint Relics being offered including a few Flintridge Dovetails with fine collector history (Townsend, Roberts, Hathcock) and a number of Clovis points with sought after COAs. Axes and Stone Artifacts are well represented as well. A large Porphyry Axe and a Nebo Hill from the Meadows Collection are being sold (including several with Meadows COAs). One of the most documented pottery pieces from the Roy Hathcock Collection will be auction. The red and white Bottle shows up in many Hathcock photos beginning in 1967. A full bodied Human Effigy Bottle and Dr. Roland Bunch's Tripod Bottle are just a couple of the other fine ceramics being offered. A dozen fine Bannerstones grace this sale - including 3 that were pictured in Knoblock's 1939 Bannerstone Book. Leo Paul Davis' Quartz Butterfly will be sold as well. Many documented artifacts are being dispersed, including a Quardraconcave Gorget pictured in Dr. Copeland's sale catalog and Modoc Smith's Drilled Spatulate (pictured in Modoc Smith's sale catalog). Something for everyone. Don't miss this opportunity to add several fine artifacts to your collection.
