Blanket Statments

Blanket Statements, from the Cindy Tietze-Hodosh and Stuart Hodosh collection, brings to market one of the finest collections of Amish quilts in private hands in America. Curated over a twenty-year period, it includes fine and rare examples from across the Amish communities as well as other American quilts. Many of the quilts offered in this sale have been published in notable books and exhibited in A Quiet Spirit, an important exhibition at the UCLA Fowler museum in 1996. From Lancaster, Pennsylvania "Floating Bars," "Diamonds in a Square," "Sunshine and Shadows" and "Tumbling Blocks" to Ohio?s "Baskets," and "Double Wedding Ring," this collection has a quilt for every aesthetic.
