WINDSOR CONN. Central Street Antiques and Auctions announces it will conduct a special sale on September 20th offering a wide range of antiques and collectibles, from period Shaker items to a Herman Miller Eames chair and ottoman. One interesting item is an incredible carved oak desk found in original condition in a local attic said by the family to be made for the Paris Exhibition. Another local attic yielded a great Regina music box, several Edison cylinder phonographs and 3 bally trade stimulator machines. The same consignor had an incredible black forest carved cuckoo clock which will be offered for sale along with a collection of clocks. Items from an Enfield Ct. estate will also be offered including shaker items, a nice collection of blue decorated stoneware, and other folk art items including 3 weathervanes. To round out the sale there will be items from a large New Haven collectors estate including a very large Oushak estate carpet, more than ten sterling silver flatware sets and over 100 lots of fine quality estate jewelry. A group of toys will include an estate found Ives tango dancer with the original box in the rare blue variant and other Ives items.
