Pickup for this sale is: Sunday Aug. 23 2020 from Noon to 6 pm in Lancaster, OHio. You must pick up during the set pickup hours or you may, at our discretion, either forfeit your items (you will be charged for them) or pick up late with a fee of $30 per furniture lot or $15 per other type of lot charged to your card on file. This is not an invitation to come late. More often than not you will forfeit your items. If you buy a lot, bring enough helpers to get everything loaded out on time. If shipping is not available and you don't pick up you agree to forfeit your items, and they will be disposed of at our discretion, meaning we will either throw them in the dumpster or take ownership of them after billing your card. Please leave yourself enough time to get all your items before the cutoff time. By bidding in this auction you authorize us to bill your card if you do not pick up, even if we dispose of your items. At the cutoff time we will close and we will ask bidders to leave, regardless of whether they have finished removing items. Bring people to help you. If you buy a lot, bring a crew so you can get everything out of the home on time. By bidding in this auction the buyer agrees to follow safe and proper moving, loading and securing procedures when handling all lots purchased in this auction, and when handling any other items at the pickup site. By bidding the buyer also agrees that he/she and any helpers have the experience, training and proper equipment needed to safely move and load the items purchased in this auction, or, if not, that he/she will employ movers that do. The bidder further holds Burns Auction & Appraisal LLC harmless for death, injury or damage to property incurred during the auction pickup. Children are prohibited at all Burns Auction pickups. Buyers agree that any items left behind within the property after the pickup hours will be treated as abandoned and disposed of at the discretion of Burns Auction unless other arrangements are made in writing with Burns Auction during the pickup hours and that refunds will not be given. Bidders agree that they are solely responsible for confirming that all of their purchases have been removed and loaded prior to departing the sale site for the day. Bidders also agree that items left behind after pickup hours because of confusion, a mix up, oversight or any other reason will be considered abandoned and disposed of by Burns Auction without any refund to the buyer. Please check over your invoice one last time before leaving to ensure you have everything. We often clean out immediately following a sale's pickup hours and will dispose of what is left behind at our discretion. By bidding and not picking up, bidder gives Burns Auction & Appraisal permission to transfer won lots to our shipper for shipping. Bring loading help. We will help as much as we are able to keep things moving quickly. But we may not be able to help with all pieces. We will not help move extremely large or bulky items. Bring help. WE DO OUR BEST TO DESCRIBE ITEMS COMPLETELY. DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, REFUNDS ARE NOT GIVEN. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! We do our best to help bidders gather and move lots. But lately we have had a surge of buyers purchasing very large items, and then showing up either alone or with completely inadequate help to move their purchases. Thus, for some large or heavy lots, we have added to the item description an added fee that we will charged to your credit card on file if you don't have adequate help to move your item. If you pay for your item, and don't have help and want that item, we're charging the fee to help. If you don't want the item you still have to pay for it, but you won't be required to pay the help fee if you abandon it. We will decide if you have adequate help. For example, if you buy a chest freezer in the basement and bring your 85-year-old father as your only helper, we're charging you for the help. That is, we define inadequate help as not enough able-bodied helpers to complete the job safely. Our number one priority is safety, our number two priority is not causing damage to the home. Inadequate help leads to accidents. If you can't get helpers for one of these items, don't bid, or pay the fee without complaint. For some items we have stated that help is not available. This means that if you don't bring help, we aren't helping and you won't be able to get your item, although you will still have to pay for it. This will apply to extremely large and/or heavy items. By bidding in our auctions you agree to abide by and to follow all of the above terms. We'll take payment for this auction at the pickup location in Lancaster during pickup times - Sunday Aug. 23 from Noon to 6 pm. There is an additional 3 percent fee on credit cards, but feel free to bring cash. We're not taking checks for this sale. So no checks. If you are having us ship your items we'll take them to Ship Print eSell in Upper Arlington the week following the sale by Thursday. IF THE DESCRIPTION SAYS SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE WE WON'T TAKE TO THE SHIPPER AND WILL DISPOSE OF THE ITEM AT OUR DISCRETION. By bidding in this auction you as the winning bidder agree to authorize your registered credit card to be charged by Burns Auction & Appraisal LLC for the invoice total if you, the winning bidder, do not pick up and pay during the designated pickup times/hours. If you do not pick up, and we have stated that we will ship, then you, the winning bidder, also authorize us to take your item to be shipped, and to charge the delivery fee stated in the item description. We are not responsible for items once they are taken to the shipper. If you don't want us to use our shipper have an agent or another shipper come during the pickup window to pick up. Items lost, broken or damaged after they dropped off at the shipper will not be refunded by Burns Auction. We charge a delivery fee to take items to our shipper since these items are in a private home and must be packed and delivered to the shipper. Checkout Date & Times: Bring enough help to get done. If you buy a lot, bring a crew and a trailer or truck. If you aren't finished by the end of the pickup window you will have to forfeit what you haven't packed.
