Habatat (established in 1971) is the oldest and largest art gallery dedicated to artists working with glass as an art medium. We are excited to announce February?s Mega MasterWorks Auction is now online! The auction takes place during the first day of the virtual Glass Coast Weekend. This auction features over 50 works from multiple collections, the most prominent being the collection of Michael and Annie Belkin. Michael, one of AACG?s founding members and past president, with his wife Annie, were early collectors of studio glass art. They had an incredible eye and we here at Habatat are honored to be able to offer their collection. You are welcome to place your bids early before the live auction date of Thursday, February 4th on LiveAuctioneers.com where the auction will be held. Most of these artists have works in both museums and private collections around the world. In the recent past many of the newly appointed museum directors have acquired glass artworks to increase attention to their museums. Museums such as the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, the Flint Institute of Arts, The Imagine Museum, Toledo Museum of Art, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and many more. The artworks included in this exhibition offer a vast history of the contemporary glass art movement that started in 1962.

The following conditions of sale concern the items offered at the auction, including those listed in this catalogue. Habatat Galleries, Inc., reserves the right to determine the Terms of Sale.
INTERNET BIDS: Images of the pieces will be hosted online and bids will be placed by email and must be received twenty-four hours before the auction starts. If two or more parties leave identical bids the first bid received by Habatat Galleries will take precedence.
RESERVES: Certain auction works are subject to a reserve, which is the confidential minimum price below which such lot will not be sold.
AUTHENTICITY OF CONDITION REPORT: All the works in the auction have been reviewed by the staff of Habatat Galleries. The pieces are deemed in good condition and any notable exceptions will be revealed in the catalogue. Habatat Galleries certifies that the work has been created by the artist to whom it is attributed.
SALES TAX: All objects are subject to sales tax unless they are being shipped by common carrier out of state.
BUYERS PREMIUM: A premium of 24% for purchases via liveauctioneers.com will be added to the successful bid price of all items sold at this auction. Auction items may be paid for by cash, check, wire transfer, Visa or MasterCard. Please note: All items bought at auction must be paid for, in full, at the auction?s conclusion.
ESTIMATES: This catalogue provides descriptions along with auction estimates. These estimates are guides for prospective bidders and should not be relied upon as our predictions of the final selling price.
GENERAL AUCTION RULES: The reserve is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept for their consigned objects. If two or more parties leave identical winning bids, the first bid received by Habatat Galleries will take precedence.
Timing: Auction works will be shipped within 30 days of auction date. Gallery contact will be available based on gallery hours and within 30 days of sale. Delay of contact does not invalidate winning bid.
All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds are permitted. Everything will be sold AS IS to the highest bidder. The descriptions of all items have been made in good faith and every effort has been made to describe each accurately. The cost of shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the purchaser.
