Outsider Art, Multi Estate, Antiques to MCM

The sale begins with 200 lots of sculpture, paintings and drawings from a newly rediscovered "Outsider" artist of remarkable talent. Louise Abrams born in 1941 studied in New York at the Art Students League, the New School and in Mexico at the Instituto Allende, this February sale will be the third of several offerings to liquidate the entire block of work from sculpture in stone, ink drawings, oils on board and canvas and numerous sketch pads. Price results have already accelerated since the initial offering in November 2020. Session two features 400 fresh estate lots from a long held storage unit in Syosset and several Hudson Valley partial estates and consignors. Artworks offered by artists Peter Max, Samuel Bak, several by Noel Rockmore, two watercolors by Beata Beach Porter, George Howell Gay, oil on wood panel by Frans Maserell, several American school portraits, Philip R. Goodwin oil of Lake Louise, a Louis Devedaux floral, Louise Cox painting of a young girl, Alexander Leydenfrost illustration, architectural renderings, folk art portraiture and more. Fancy goods include china and porcelains by makers Luneville, Dresden, Herend, 80 plus pieces of Leedsware Classical Creamware, Chinese porcelains, fancy silverplate and lots of silver including Tiffany Makers, art pottery, blown art glass and decorative items from many periods. Mid Century items include furniture and accessories by Plycraft, Eileen Grey, Restoration Hardware teak "Marbella" sofas and chairs, several pieces for Ralph Lauren, Stark telephone table, two Atelje Lyktan ahus lamps, 4 Paul Wunderlich stainless "Fabula" services for twelve, a Dunhill humidor on stand, Venetian glass, several groups of Art Deco items and other items from the mid 20th century. A rare find in the sale is an original "Westport Chair"; an invention and patent by Thomas Lee and Harry Bunnel. Carpets, Persian and otherwise, paisley shawls, a carved marble "Diana", an unusual pair of carved stone obelisks and lots more!
