EARLY AMERICAN PRINTS, a live charity auction

On October 7, Housing Works Auctions will host "Early American Prints" a live charity auction of 60 fine prints from 19th century America, including dozens by legendary engravers Currier & Ives. Housing Works volunteer and celebrity appraiser Kathleen Guzman will serve as auctioneer. The estimated value of the prints ranges from $100 to $1,500. Guzman will also host a VIP cocktail party at 6pm for one hour before the 7pm live auction begins, where she, as well as other experts who have frequently appeared on Antiques Roadshow (Daile Kaplan, Nicholas Lowry of Swann Galleries, Eric Silver of Lillian Nassau, and Joyce Jonas, jewelry appraiser) will mingle with guests. The VIP event is $50 (the live auction is free).
