Israeli & International Art

This inaugural sale of Israeli & International Art on Jennifer V Roth Auctions includes paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture from the 1920’s to the present time. Over the past 100 years, Israeli artists have engaged with issues that have become ever more pressing in the 21st century: questions of home, migration, the land, nature, borders and conflict, gender and those marginalized by society. Israeli artists have also engaged in the continuing debate between Abstraction and Figuration. In this sale you will find works by both established and up-and coming artists, including Reuven Rubin, Menashe Kadishman, Moshe Kupferman, Ori Gersht, Moshe Gershuni, Zigi Ben Haim, Yehudit Sasportas, Shai Azoulay and Nirit Takele. Today, Israeli artists are being exhibited throughout the world, thanks in part to the success of Artis Contemporary, an organization which promotes contemporary Israeli art and invites arts professionals to tour the vibrant art scene in Israel. Several works in this sale are being sold for the benefit of Artis. www.artiscontemporary.org
