The sale opens with a beautifully painted pair of moon flasks by Minton, 1872-1873, and a unique 19th century Doulton Lambeth figural vase, followed by early Moorcroft pottery vases from the collection of Ernie and Shirley Hodas of Bloomfield Hills. In addition from the Hodas collection, bronze sculptures by Isidore Bonheur and Antoine-Louis Barye, Japanese ivory figures and netsuke, Steuben and Lalique crystal. From a Bloomfield Hills estate, paintings by Jean Pierre Dubord, Andre Hambourg, John Califano, Carlton Smith, as well as original book illustrations, late 19th-early 20th century Meissen figures, and Russian lacquer boxes; and a pair of Carl Poul Petersen sterling compotes, Steuben Aurene and sterling sherbets, a Georges Braque lithograph, Japanese Satsuma and Chinese carved jade, and Steuben and Lalique figures, over 50 lots, from a prominent Birmingham, Michigan resident.
