On April 23, PosterConnection will hold its 19th bi-annual International Poster Auction. The sale is divided into 5 main categories, offering 391 poster lots. <br><br>The Military & Propaganda section includes 78 works from World War I through World War II, including a quality selection of Mather Work Incentive posters from 1929. <br><br>The Advertising section is divided into clothing, food & drinks, consumer goods and newspaper posters. The Art, Culture & Design selection includes art nouveau posters and Maitres de l’Affiches as well as modern graphic design pieces from around the globe (including design by Herbert Bayer, Josef Muller-Brockmann and Erik Nitsche). The selection of 60 Movie Posters includes a rare 1920 Harold Lloyd poster for a wandering movie theater as well. <br><br>The Travel & Sports selection is the finest we have presented in years. In addition to automobile, steamship and tourism posters, we offer some 60 railway posters from the 1920s through the 1950s, incl. Chesley Bonestell's NY Central Building, several Maurice Logan and Leslie Ragan items and a very rare, early Yosemite poster by W.H. Bull.
